I Have a Passion for Quantifying Things
I am Dipanjana, a mathematician turned Ecologist. I am on a journey to explore the world and attempt to understand it's many mysteries.

Current Research
My current research involves looking at host pathogen interactions and studying how these interactions shape biodiversity. My aim is to quantify interactions and stability.

I have a Bachelor's and a Master's from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research. I am currently pursuing a PhD at University of Connecticut, at the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I am making a transition from Mathematics to Community Ecology because I believe in applying my knowledge on more grounded problems, and issues that haunt us today.
Teaching
Pedagogy is an important component of the skill set I hope to learn in the next few years of my life. I have taught programming in Python to undergraduate freshmen, and introductory biology lab too(both for non-majors and majors). I love teaching general ecology, and most recently TAed the general ecology course at UConn.
Other InterestsMy interests involve travelling, food, and drawing. Being an ecologist, I love being outdoors.
